Voting information for Cascade County

Notice! Starting Monday October 30

Ballots that have not already been mailed out to voters who registered as absentees are now available for pickup, as well as drop off, at both the Expo Center and the Elections office, 9 to 5 weekdays, through Monday, Nov. 7.

Ballots already sent out to absentee voters should no longer be mailed in, due to the nearness of Election Day, but rather dropped off in person, at the Elections Office or the Expo Center, during normal business hours through November 7, or at the Expo Center (only) on Tuesday, November 8.

Same day registration is still available in the state of Montana.

A lawsuit nullified cancellation of same-day voter registration. To verify your voter status, please check My Voter Page and follow the prompts. You may also contact the Cascade County Elections office at 406-454-6803. There are many registration drives going on throughout the state, but there is only one Elections Office in each county, and all registration forms must be turned into the county elections office in a timely manner. Please make sure that your registration forms are sent directly to Cascade County Elections at PO Box 2305, Great Falls, MT 59403 or you can drop them off in person at the Elections Office located at 325 2nd Ave N Room 100, Great Falls MT. If you choose to register on Election Day, November 8th, you must go to Exhibition Hall at the Fairgrounds – open until 8 p.m.

If you register and/or vote in person, you need one ID: either a photo ID or something like a car registration or utility bill that has an address that matches the address on your registration.

You must be registered in order to vote.
